Nicky's funeral service was held at St Peter & St Paul church Chaldon. when the coffin left the church a lovely white horse appeared with his mount and waited for the coffin to pass. what a lovely gesture from his rider. Time of service 11am followed by burial at The sutton cemetery at 12.15pm. A single white dove was released over the the interned coffin as a symbol of Nicky's spirit being released in to Heaven. The weather on that day was sunny and warm, above the lowered coffin was a large bumble bee that had appeared from nowhere happily buzzing around and then quickly flew off.
On leaving the cemetery in the hearse a butterfly had landed on the side window of the car, this small creature remained stuck to the glass whilst the vechile was still moving ,looking in at us untill we left the cemetery gates and then it flew away . I often think was this Nicky saying hi i am still with you, i would like to think this was the case . Untill we meet again you are forever in our hearts love from all your family and friends.
